The Puma Energy Fund invests in healthier, safer and more resilient communities across the African and Latin American countries where Puma Energy operates.

Our strategy focuses on two critical yet underfunded global health challenges: road safety and access to clean energy to last-mile, off-grid communities. Through long-term partnerships with selected high-impact organisations, we support practical, scalable solutions that improve lives in low- and middle-income countries across Africa and Latin America.

By concentrating our resources where the need is greatest, we aim to maximise impact while complementing Puma Energy's broader sustainability and CSR commitments.

Road Safety

Every year, 1.3 million people lose their lives on the world's roads, with 93% of fatalities occurring in low- and middle-income countries. Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death for children and young adults worldwide.

We support organisations that:

• Promote safer road user behaviour through education, training and awareness.
• Develop innovative mobility and technology solutions that make roads safer, particularly in underserved communities.
• Advocate for safer transport systems and policies.

    Access to Clean Energy

Nearly 760 million people still live without electricity, while 2.6 billion people rely on polluting fuels for cooking and heating, exposing families to serious health risks. Reliable electricity is also essential for quality healthcare, yet almost one billion people depend on health facilities with unreliable power.

We support organisations that:

• Expand access to clean household energy and clean cooking solutions.
• Deliver reliable renewable energy to remote health facilities
• Strengthen healthcare through sustainable energy infrastructure
• Empower women through access to clean energy technologies, training and finance.
• Build local capacity and partnerships that accelerate long-term energy access.
